University of Plymouth Medics Netball Team
We are the University of Plymouth Medics Netball Team here in Plymouth. We are a student-run sports club made of medical and healthcare students who are passionate about netball, teamwork, and promoting wellbeing through sport.
We are currently looking for local businesses to partner with us through sponsorship. Your support would help us with essential costs such as equipment, kit, travel for matches, and court hire. In return, we would be delighted to promote your business within our community, for example by highlighting your business on our social media platforms and match reports and acknowledging your support at our matches and events.
Sponsoring our team would help us continue playing the sport we love, but also offer your business visibility among students, staff, and the wider University community and healthcare community.

Target Audience
Primarily healthcare students ages 18-25, including medical, nursing, and allied health students. The majority are highly motivated, community-minded individuals who value well being, teamwork, and social connection. Our audience has a strong interest in sport, health, and personal development, and an active presence on social media and within university communities.
Key Dates and Timings
Our sponsorship would be required across this academic year – so September 2025-June 2026. However we aim to continue this club each year throughout people’s time at university.
Specific Opportunity Details
The medical netball team offers a unique and meaningful partnership opportunity within a growing, high-impact student and professional sports community. Based at our university, the team brings together healthcare students and professionals from across multiple disciplines, united by a shared goal of promoting wellbeing, balance, and teamwork through sport.
We currently have four teams ranging from completive county-level players to social teams that focus on inclusion, fun and community engagement. Our competitive teams participate in inter-university leagues with tournaments across the UK, offering regular visibility and representation, while our social and charity matches attract strong local interest and participation.
Our fan base and community are growing rapidly, supported by an active online presence. Across our social media platforms, we engage hundreds of followers, with posts regularly involving math dats, key events, and charity fundraisers.
A potential partner would gain the opportunity to align with a positive, health-focused initiative that represents future healthcare professionals – an audience committed to community values, leadership, and well being. Supporting this project demonstrates a shared commitment to inclusion, health promotion, and the development of resilient, balanced individuals who will go on to make a difference in healthcare and beyond,
