SWFT Charity Waterfall Walk
SWFT Charity is an NHS Charity that enhances equipment and services across South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. We believe that every member of the community who uses our services deserves the best possible care. That’s why we endeavour to cover the cost of the extras, above core NHS funding, that give our hard-working staff the opportunity to deliver the very best care possible in the most comfortable settings. Whether it’s bright and welcoming décor in a waiting area, state of the art medical equipment or entertainment for our inpatients, SWFT Charity is here to help.
Target Audience
The Waterfall Walk is approximately 6.5 miles and is an easy – intermediate walking ability, plus the opportunity to do some wild swimming if willing. It is therefore aimed at adults who have the fitness ability to complete the walk.
In terms of the reach of the impact of money raised from the event, it means every person in South Warwickshire has the opportunity to access the best care. The money raised from the Waterfall Walk will go into enhancing services throughout South Warwickshire NHS University Trust, whether that is the purchasing of new equipment, enhancing what services we have, wellbeing initiatives for staff and patients in our NHS services.
Key Dates and Timings
The walk is on Saturday, 7th June 2025.
Specific Opportunity Details
Our SWFT Charity Waterfall Walk offers a thrilling adventure across the Yorkshire Dales to walk and wild swim in some of the most beautiful natural waterfalls the country has to offer. The challenge is a 5-hour trek through the stunning landscapes of Swaledale, with some truly breathtaking pitstops at Wain Wath Force, East Gill Force, and finishing at the spectacular Kisdon Force waterfall. It’s a unique challenge for a great cause.
All proceeds go towards SWFT Charity, the official charity for South Warwickshire NHS University Foundation Trust. The charity’s goal is enhancing equipment and facilities at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust so that everyone can get the best possible care.
We are currently seeking corporate sponsors and partners to help make this event possible and ensure it raises as much as it can for the patients, families, and healthcare workers who rely on our services. You can do this through sponsorship or by getting involved and encouraging your staff to sign up as a team or individually to take part in the Waterfall Walk.
