Mat Johnstone – Para Standing Tennis
I am a para standing tennis player who has won tournaments both nationally and internationally and recently made the quarter finals of the world championship in Barcelona. I am seeing sponsorship to help take my game to the next level. Tennis is an expensive sport and at the moment I do not have the funds to train as much as I would like, buy equipment necessary and travel to tournaments. Any support would be gratefully received and happy to discuss the ways in which i could support you or your organisation.
Outside of tennis I work full time in the NHS, I originally trained as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting people suffering from anxiety or depression. I am now Associate Director of Strategy and system development, Supporting the NHS to achieve our strategic objectives and provide excellent care to our patients.
I am also an experienced mentor, facilitator and motivational speaker, using my professional skills and personal experience as someone with a disability and being gay.
Target Audience
I believe my appeal is in the tennis, disability and LGBT+ groups
Key Dates and Timings

This year I was one of only a few athletes that didnt travel with a coach and if i am success in obtaining some sponsorship this is something I would aim for net year.
