Maritime Mountain Race – V.Group Team – Mission for Seafarers

Over 90% of world trade is carried by sea, providing work to 1.89 million seafarers. Day and night for 365 days per year, The Mission to Seafarers (MtS) is on call providing help for seafarers in over 200 ports around the world. The Maritime Mountain Race is being organised by The Mission to Seafarers who are on call day and night, 365 days a year, to 1.89m seafarers in over 200 ports worldwide. Seafarer abandonment is on the rise across the maritime industry, with a 30% year on year increase in cases in 2025. This race aims to raise funds to support abandoned seafarers around the globe.

Our company, V.Group, is entering a team to support this worthy cause. V.Group is one of the world’s largest ship management companies, with a network of over 45,000 seafarers operating 480+ ships worldwide.

We are looking for sponsorship for our three person team to enter this race to help support this worthy cause.
