London Amateur Basketball League

The London Amateur Basketball League was founded in 2006. We play a regular season in a central venue league between September 2025 and May 2026 approximately. After a brief break, we play a summer league in July and August before we return again in September for another season. We develop officials working together with the national governing body (Basketball England), both referees and table officials. The league has robust, comprehensive policies regarding game management, and disciplinary actions. We have between eight to sixteen teams each year.

Target Audience

The demographic is both male and female, between 14 and 16 years old up to mid forties & early fifties. This is the core group of spectators, social media followers, and professionals who follow our competitions (coaches, club managers, referees, table officials, statisticians, players, sports photographers, basketball YouTube channels, clothing manufacturers, etc.).
London based, sport followers, ABC1 demographics with different class backgrounds sometimes in each team, or group of followers.
The fan base in social media has a mixture of ethnic diversity, cultural and nationality origins.

Key Dates and Timings

The play-off final is scheduled for 26th April 2026
The All-Star and 3 Points trophy takes places on 17th May 2026

These are two events that take place at St Aloysius College.

We have 351 Instagram followers; 2,600 members of the Facebook page and 1,500 members in our Facebook group.
A potential partner would benefit from having advertising space in our websites (www.labl.london, www.londonamateurbasketball.leaguerepublic.com), social media, pamphlets, invoices, banners, and reports.

Features and Benefits

Branding in website, social media, league documentation, and advertising.
Branding in mags, t-shirts, polos, pens, and stickers if budgeted separately.

Other Partners

London Capital Credit Union has previously provided a small grant to support women’s basketball sessions.

Investment

The league is looking at a promotional support of £600 to contribute towards the cost of managing these two events; purchasing promotional materials (water bottles, sweat bands, polos, banners, etc.).

Other Info

Basketball is a popular sport that is growing in London. There are many teams with different backgrounds and levels. The sport has been growing since Covid. We believe there is a preference for central venue events.
In the future, we would like to move to a venue that could accommodate more spectators.
