Knights Rugby

 

Knights rugby is a representative rugby programme for senior grassroots players. We exist to give players the opportunity to represent their home clubs and where they come from without having to move to move to a bigger club. The player can now get rewarded for their loyalty and ability. We aren’t a traditional touring team who parties first and rugby comes second.

We aim to play 3 exhibition matches next year. Selecting a squad of 26 players, 3 coaches and a physiotherapist. Also, we will hold multiple training camps to offer the best preparation in performance and culture.

Our Charity Partner is Looseheadz, a mental health charity that looks to “tackle the stigma” when surrounding the macho boys club that rugby often is. Along with advertising their brand and message, we aim to raise money for them and collaborate on social media. Their most recent partnership is with the British & Irish Lions, the pinnacle of rugby in the UK. We are very blessed and honoured to champion the charity and work with them.

Target Audience

Our Target demographic is the wider rugby population. Granted we aim to run a mens team at first but theres nothing stopping us capturing the imagination of all fans of the sport.

With our Charity Partners Looseheadz, Knights rugby and the all important conversation about Mental Health spans far beyond the sole sport of Rugby.,

Post Rugby Campaign, Knights Rugby will host a dinner and awards night to honour the players, staff and valued sponsors. Acknowledging their performance and contribution. Our awards include:

-Knights Spirit Award: The player who best displayed Knights culture and values on and off the field

-Player of the campaign: Voted by the players who consistently showed a high level of rugby for the full campaign whilst epitomising Knights Rugby values.

-Forward on the rise: The forward who displayed the potential to continue not only improving but progress with his rugby in the near future.

-Back on the Rise: The back who displayed the potential to continue not only improving but progress with his rugby in the near future.

-Best Forward: The forward consistently displayed outstanding rugby on the field whilst epitomising Knights Rugby values.

-Best Back: The back who consistently displayed outstanding rugby on the field whilst epitomising Knights Rugby values.
