Jacob Hutchinson Karting

Hi, my name is Jacob Hutchinson, I am an 11-year-old aspiring racing driver from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. I am a passionate Formula 1 fan and with the help of my parents in 2023 I started my journey to becoming a professional racing driver. I really have found my passion for motorsports. I enjoy motorsports, simulator racing, music, Lego, technology, science and computing.

Diagnosed with Autism and ADHD from the age of 5. I have found that karting is helping me in many ways. These include awareness of dangers, social interaction, learning, life skills and coping with my emotions and boundaries. I love challenges and problem solving so the science behind karting excites me. I proudly display the ADHD butterfly symbol on my helmet as a badge of honor.

I know that I am ready for this next challenge. I work very hard and I’m incredibly passionate about my karting journey and I want my journey to serve as an inspiration to other neurodiverse children that with the right mindset, anyone can overcome challenges and achieve their dreams.

• Graduated from the Team Sports Karting Academy programme at the age of 9 after only 3 months
• Achieved 3rd place in the Global Karting League Spring Championship – My first ever outdoor season
• Achieved 4th place in Global Karting League Chapter 2 in 2024
• Currently 4th in F.A.T Karting League (FKL) Regional Championship for 2025
• This season – I have already achieved 3 podiums, set 2 fastest laps times in Final races and this is only after 5 rounds with 4 remaining

I am currently 4th in the F.A.T Karting League (FKL) Regional Champions with just 1 point from 3rd and 9 points from 2nd. I am aiming to finish 2nd to improve on my 3rd place finish last year. If I achieve a top 3 finish, I will qualify for the FKL World Finals in America, where I will race against other drivers from the Pro Championship in the UK and US.

My goal for the 2026 season is to compete in the FKL Pro Championship or to compete in the SuperOne Championship using a MightE electric Kart. Both Championships race at circuits across England and Wales.
