England Amateur MMA Team
Hello my name is Glenn Gordon and I’m currently assisting the England Amateur MMA Team (EMMAA) to raise some vital funding in order for the England MMA Squad to attend the 2025 World Championships.
EMMAA has around 250+ registered Athletes between the ages of 5 years to 28 years of age, both Male and Female athletes at every weight category available in competition.
These Athletes are working along side dedicated and proven World class Coaches all working to achieve the Goal of becoming the best in the world at their chosen sport.
Marc Goddard, Senior UFC referee and very highly regarded figure in MMA globally is our President and founding Member.
His level of expertise in MMA along with his impeccable reputation throughout the World have allowed and encouraged EMMAA to flourish and grow thanks largely to his commitment his knowledge.
International MMA competitions are rapidly growing in popularity.
IMMAF are the global body for MMA, the world’s fastest growing sport, with an estimated 449 Million followers Worldwide!
The Recent World Championships in Uzbekistan received over 12 Million live views worldwide via IMMAF TV.
In terms of EMMAA coverage in the UK just 2 of our fighters alone received nearly 1 Million Instagram views!!
EMMAA alongside its partners at the governing Body IMMAF are the only organisation in England that can offer athletes the chance to fight at IMMAF fully sanctioned and safe worldwide events. These events include; World championships, European championships and negotiations are currently underway for Olympic Games inclusion.
For the last Decade EMMAA has existed to enable the very best of English MMA athletes to reach their full potential. In that time our World class coaches have worked tirelessly to achieve outstanding success with hard earned Victories at the European and World championships where hundreds of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals have been Won, including World Championship and European Championship medals.
It is our aim to build on this success and achieve even greater heights in 2025 and Beyond.
The EMMAA organisation alongside its coaches have a proven track record at helping Athletes achieve their goals of competing and winning medals at various championships and they have been proud participants in guiding many athletes to become National champions, European champions and even World Champions.
At present all EMMAA officials, including the World class coaches and a dedicated group of willing volunteers, including myself, provide their services and their time for free on a purely voluntary basis.
Whilst we don’t see this particular aspect changing significantly in the near future there are various costs, particularly around attending worldwide MMA events (at the moment each individual athlete and coach must personally fund their own travel, food and accommodation) and also the provision of information, competition registration costs and coach training courses, that the organisation needs to address.
EMMAA is fully committed to provision of Safe MMA, this allows athletes to compete at the highest levels in a safe and sustainable way.
The use of shin guards alongside the Banning of certain moves, particularly those associated with direct head contact, should allow athletes to compete for longer whilst at the same time limiting the damage recieved during training and Competition.

We are hoping to Raise around £35,000 in order to ensure we can attend the 2025 World Championships with a larger Squad and enough coaching support to build on our success at the World Championships in 2024.
We truly believe that this funding is vital to ensuring that the Best Athletes from all walks of life are able to attend especially those facing financial challenges, some of whom were unable to travel in 2024 simply due to lack of money.
EMMAA feels very strongly that we could have achieved even greater success in 2024 had certain athletes who couldn’t attend purely for financial reasons, been able to travel and compete.
We believe we missed out on the opportunity to have at least 3 more World Champions, as well as a significant amount of other medals, Purely because some Athletes from lower income families were unable to attend. As you can imagine this is a source of much frustration and Sadness for our Squad.
When considering our request for sponsorship please consider the effect your funding could have on the Athletes receiving the funds, it is no Exaggeration to state that this funding will Literally change the lives of the recipients for the better.
