I’m excited to share some major developments at Scotty’s, as we begin preparations for Scotty’s Rugby 2025. With recent approval from our Board of Trustees, the charity is expanding its mission to support everyone affected by military bereavement—not just children and young people.
While Scotty’s Little Soldiers will continue as our flagship programme for bereaved young people, our broader work will now operate under the name Scotty’s. This evolution allows us to provide more holistic care, both before and after bereavement. A key initiative launching in 2025 is the UK’s first pre-bereavement support service for children and young people—a truly pioneering step.
