Alternatives Exhibition

I am a photographer working across multiple genres, one area I choose to work in is social documentary and street photography, I look to present people as they are, hoping to capture the essence of who they are through portraits and candid photos.

Target Audience

The exhibition is aimed a any age, but particularly those who also choose to live a life outside of what’s considered mainstream, a chance of teens to see other people like themselves, for adults to be reminded of their roots as so many of us identified as alt kids in the late 90s and early 2000s.

At present I have a following of 402 on Instagram, 325 on my Facebook page, 925 on my photography Facebook account, 313 on BlueSky, while I have a varied demographic, the majority of my followers and interactions are with people over 25, with a majority being male although I don’t have a current specific statistic on that.

Key Dates and Timings

17th to 24th April 2026, opening evening is the evening of 17th and sponsors would be invited to attend along with subjects of the photographs and key individuals for networking. .

Specific Opportunity Details

The Alternatives exhibition is to showcase a social documentary project looking at the differences between us and the beauty in those differences.

The project is a collection of images depicting people whose lives are outside of what’s considered mainstream, this might be through their hobbies or their career choices, their homes or their lifestyle, subjects include an RPG author, a poet, a soul midwife, street performers and musicians, to drag queens and pride events. The aim is to proceed with this initial exhibition before going on to find larger venues for the ongoing project. If a potential sponsor has a business that aligns with the idea of alternatives, it is possible that portraits of staff could become a part of the exhibition itself, showcasing how yourself or your staff choose to live their own lives outside of the mainstream. For example, if you sell cosplay items, alternative clothing, music instruments, etc.

Features and Benefits

Branding of the sponsor would be included on all advertising, as well as listed in the cover of a photography book that will follow the exhibition – sales will be available at the exhbition, as well as being invited to participate in the project if the sponsor feels it is appropriate.
