Wanderers Football Club are looking for sponsorship to help provide their players with training tops.

Wanderers Football Club was formed in 1859 as Forest Club in East London, Wanderers were founder members of the FA in 1863 and played most of their matches at The Oval in Kennington. In 1872, Wanderers won the first FA Cup. They went on to retain it in 1873 and win it three times in a row between 1876 and 1878. The club folded in 1887 but was reformed in 2009 to raise money for charity.

We now have 4 teams – 2 Men’s Saturday XIs, a Men’s Sunday XI, and a Women’s XI. To attract better players, reward the loyalty of those we have, and to create a sense of unified identity between the squads, we are hoping to attract a sponsor to help us provide our players with Wanderers FC training tops.

Target Audience

Wanderers players are aged 16-45, are male and female, and dedicated to playing the sport. Our players are progressively younger - aged 16-23 - and have limited income at this stage in their life. Our fans and followers are die-hard football fans aged 18-60 who share the club's open, accessible vision.

Key Dates and Timings

We can commence the sponsorship from any time and the duration would be for 12 months. However, the training tops would not be replaced unless a new sponsor came in or the existing sponsor renewed their support.

Specific Opportunity Details

Every week, our teams train incredibly hard for their forthcoming matches. We have qualified, experienced coaches who lead these sessions. The Men's training takes place at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, an extremely busy and popular sports centre in Bromley, and Elmgreen School, Tulse Hill, an important school within the local community. The Women's team train on Clapham Common - one of the most popular green spaces in south London.

Our vision is 'To use football to make a positive impact in the communities we serve'. To that end, we operate to benefit charities and to help our members to actively participate in the club, the sport, and our community.

We would like to find a partner who supports this vision and would like to help the club reward our loyal membership, strengthen bonds between the teams, and attract a better standard of player to enable the club to continue to progress through the leagues.
