At Sunshine Action we work to alleviate conditions of acute poverty for societies most economically vulnerable through donations, community support, and engagement. We organize activities such as our Fortune Bags project, where we pack and distribute essential food and hygiene products for individuals and families in the UK facing destitution and crumbling public services alone. We are newly-established in the UK and always looking to build partnerships to sustain our operations. Our projects are 100% funded by the general public and companies. We are also solely run by volunteers, which ensures that your donations fully contribute towards those in need. We work as an organizer and mediator between companies allowing for corporate donors to reach a larger network of partners and individuals. Since 2008, Sunshine Action has reached over 410,000 people in over 23 countries including Sri Lanka, Zambia and Myanmar, working with over 890 organizations including partner charities and large corporate sponsors such as UBS, Apple, and PwC. Sunshine Action was originally founded in Hong Kong, but in 2023 Sunshine Action registered as a charity in the UK and this year we are looking to roll out our fortune bags project in London and across the UK. We aim to collaborate with corporations like yours to enhance our impact and support those in need. We propose a sponsored event, where your company and employees would contribute towards the cost of the event, our volunteers would organize the relevant partnerships and logistics, and we would invite your employees along to the packing and distribution event. This will help our mission and provide a unique away day opportunity for your team. Not only would this provide your employees with a meaningful first-hand experience of the impact of your sponsorship, but it would also showcase your company’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
Target Audience
Our Fortune Bag events are targeted to lower income brackets who are struggling for food, DE demographic. However, we also appreciate that bolstering community is crucial to enhancing support, and we must engage as many strata as possible in this project. Therefore, for community drives and volunteering we see great communal and personal value in involving all demographics in the process.
Key Dates and Timings
This is a flexible partnership. We are looking for sponsorships to last an extended period of multiple events. We can organize an event based on when your employees are available to join. Depending on your sponsorship size, the funding can support one or multiple events across the year

Our standard offering is our aforementioned Fortune Bags project; however, we have a creative team of motivated volunteers with a wide offering of other event ideas we require capital to implement. Therefore, we can retrofit our opportunities to your organization, and look forward to
enjoying a close-knit and productive partnership.
Examples of support we have seen in the past:
1. One-off/period financial donation or in-kind sponsorship
2. Crowdfunding and promotional event organised by the company
3. Getting employees to participate in one of our organised events tailored to your requirements, although we would also encourage your company to contribute towards the budget required for that event. For example, we have organised fortune bag packing at company offices, where the company
has helped raise some money to purchase food items to include in the bags.

We would offer sponsors a meaningful opportunity to engage their staff in team building activities. This demonstrates your company’s commitment to giving back to communities and improving staff morale; volunteering is proven to successfully combat low mood, anxiety, and disconnection. We would display signage at our events, including all our fortune bag drives, community engagement projects and fundraising activities. Investment
We appreciate a donation in any size, but for companies we igenerally targeting cash sponsorships of over £10,000. It is worth noting that the total cost of items in each fortune bag costs around £10, with items enough to support a low-income individual for a few weeks. Alternatively, it would also be useful to receive sponsored food/essential items to include in the fortune bags.
