Stroke Survivors Speech and Language Support Group are looking for sponsorship as they continuously provide help to those recovering from strokes.
Stroke Survivors Support Group – We empower Stroke Survivors to recover, reclaim and rebuild their lives after stroke by supporting them with fun and engaging activities which in turn helps Survivors build more resilience, motivation and feel less isolated. This is achieved through our numerous Groups, and we have 6 core objectives which we meet in our activities, Communication, Cognitive Skills, Mental Wellbeing, Physical Motor Skills, Memory and Social peer Support.
We encourage our Survivors to engage with us into their communities by attending various events and social outings. We have had many companies enjoy spending time with our Survivors and we would love to engage with more local companies to support us in our work. By working side by side it helps break down the barriers of disability, social isolation and build a better community environment for us all. We are always proud to have sponsors and have them come along to our local meetings and events as it builds great community spirit. By sponsoring our Groups it really makes a huge difference to our Survivors as Stroke can affect anyone at any time and at any age. All the money we receive through donations, sponsorship and grants go directly to supporting our Survivors.

Specific Opportunity Details
We currently have 3 Groups opened in Cheshire East and looking to open another Group in 6 months. The start up costs for a group is approx. £3000.00, which includes venue fee, outside activities, afternoon tea, canal trip. We also have a Sponsored Walk on Saturday 20th April 2024 where our Survivors will take part in as much or as little as they would like and are able too. We always look at what they can do rather than what they cannot.
Last year in 2022 we walked up Snowdon to raise awareness of Stroke Survivors and in June 2023 we walked the North Wales Coastal Path from Rhyl to Llandudno. We had many of our Survivors join us in the feat and we met the Mayor of Llandudno at the finishing post. 20th April 2024 we are walking between our 3 Groups, Alsager to Sandbach to Crewe to link up each Group. We are hoping that the Mayors of each Town will join us in our walk and encourage others to join us on the walk. Therefore we are looking for sponsors for this event.
- 100 branded t-shirts/polo shirts with our logo and the sponsors logo
- 100 branded baseball caps with our logo and the sponsors logo
- Celebratory buffet at end of walk
- Funding to help run our current/new groups of £12,000.00
- Leaflets/Marketing opportunities to include sponsorship logo
