RG4 FC is a Caversham community football team that is being run through the Weller Centre. We were lucky enough to have won Katie Henderson Memorial trophy for commitment to sports at the Reading sports personality awards 2024.

We work with children and adults who live in one of the most deprived areas of the country. The only thing they are “rich” in is green space so we are utilising this to their advantage.

We also work with children who have a number of neuro diversities and social disabilities as well as children who do not have English as their first language. We currently have children who suffer from severe confidence issues, autism and who cannot speak good English just to name a few. These things would very likely stop them from playing elsewhere as they are seen as barriers. We don’t and we work with them on these things as well as football skills.

We keep the cost to the parents as minimal as possible which is currently £1 voluntary donation ( some of the children in the teams cannot even afford this due to family situations etc) so these young people can continue to play with us and benefit from the coaches and staff knowledge/skills and experience.

We are currently running 5 teams. Three children’s teams which are the Warriors (under 10) The Samurai (under 12) and the Spartans (under 13) We also have a men’s Sunday league team and a men’s 6 a side Wednesday team. The Samurai and Spartans are currently playing in the BYFL and the warriors will be joining them next season.

We are actively looking for a title sponsor for both the Men’s team and for the under 10 Warriors. We would be happy for a company to sponsor an individual team or all of them together.

Target Audience

10-60

Key Dates and Timings

Sponsorship can be started immediately and can be discussed on length. Ideally we would want to do a minimum of 2 years

Specific Opportunity Details

Any sponsor would be put as title sponsor for the team/teams they have sponsored. We would also be sharing the sponsor name on all our social media. We also have a very good reputation and partnerships with local radio stations and other local semi pro and professional clubs who would likely share as well.

Features and Benefits

Branding would be seen on every match day by a lot of people. All kids matches are played at central locations which means 30+ teams worth of parents are in attendance.

The club would also happily send the sponsors a fully printed top and post all over social media

Other Partners

AO.com, Grant Plant

Investment

Open to discussion but would need to be £500 minimum for the 2 year title sponsor space
