Rain or Shine Theatre are seeking sponsorship for their outdoor Shakespeare performance ‘The Comedy of Errors’

On August 19th, the Rain or Shine Theatre brings outdoor Shakespeare to a North Herefordshire village. The Comedy of Errors will be performed literally come rain or shine in The Leintwardine Centre’s Jubilee Gardens. This is a huge project for the Village Hall team, all of whom are volunteers. 30% of box office takings go to the Leintwardine Community Centre & Village Hall charity and we hope to increase this and cover inevitable costs. We are asking if you are able to help.

To maximise our revenue generation from The Comedy of Errors performance, all of which will go to the charity, we need sponsorship.

Why support us?
The Leintwardine Centre is a vital, vibrant hub for Leintwardine and the surrounding area. We provided a warm, safe, well-equipped space for people to socialise and enjoy a wide choice of clubs, activities and events. From our Warm Spaces programme to Holiday Club, Pilates to Art, Flicks in the Sticks, Buggy Flicks, Community Library and History Society, the centre forms the physical and social heart of the community.

We are housed in Victorian buildings. Whilst charming, they are very expensive to maintain and improve. We have worked hard to secure grants for refurbishment enabling us to offer a wonderful hall, kitchen, offices and the Jubilee Gardens, but the upkeep and running of the buildings is increasingly costly. We are actively seeking large national-level grants to build a ramp to enable disabled access to the gardens and we also desperately need to upgrade our toilets! Some of these works may not be glamorous, but they are urgently required. We also anticipate needing to extend the Warm Spaces initiative, into 2023-4.

So where do we get our funding?
Aside from office rental, joint ventures with the Parish Council and successful grant applications (which can take years), it is our events and donations that generate the money to keep the doors open and the lights on.
We have no other sources of income.

** Your support will be invaluable, acknowledged & hugely appreciated**

We propose three different sponsorship packages:

Bronze – £150 – this will cover production of our programme, for example.

Silver – £300 – this will cover the supplies for our prosecco & strawberries and wine bar, for example.

Gold – £500 – this will meet the costs of publicity, promotion, posters and banners for example and put a few hundred pounds straight towards the disabled access fund.

What’s in it for you?
We want to do more than just thank you for how much you have helped … we want to tell the world! Up to 175 people from all around the area – not just Leintwardine – will be visiting, parking, eating and looking for accommodation locally so you have will have great exposure. Here is what we propose for each level:

Bronze: 1/3rd page ad in our programme, your leaflets displayed, public address thanks by the MC, Facebook, website etc.

Silver: Half page ad in our programme, your leaflets displayed, thanks by the MC, social media and the chance to display a banner, pull up stand or similar on or next to the bar.

Gold: Full page colour ad in the programme, leaflets, thanks by the MC, social media chance to have banners up to 8ft x 4ft and pull up stands – you let us know what you want displayed where, basically – plus 2 free tickets.
