Olympia Handball Club are a non-profit, 100% volunteer-run handball club based in East London on Leyton. The club was founded in 2005 and we have more than 100 active playing members split between 9 teams: two men’s teams, two women’s teams as well as youth teams: girls and boys U19 and boys U16’s teams and developing girls and boys U13 teams.

We aim to create new and lasting mutually beneficial relationships with new sponsors and advertisers to assist us with the costs of the home games for the 2023/2024 season for all of our teams playing in the English Leagues which rounds up to £30,000.00.

The benefits would include a presence on our website and on social media such as our Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok as well as a Company logo printed on both home and away playing kits for both of our men’s and women’s teams and a banner displayed on our home games.

Specific Opportunity Details

Handball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK and as such is attracting a much larger local and international audience.
We are one of the biggest and the most successful handball club in the UK.
Our women’s and men’s 1st teams are currently playing in the Premier Handball Leagues, the highest national league for Handball in the UK. Our women’s team secured back-to-back champions in 2012/13, 2013/14, 2016/2017, and 2018/2019 winning the English Handball Association National League and they won the English National Cup 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2021/2022.
The women’s team also took part in the European Handball Federation Challenge Cup and travelled to Portugal (2011/2012), Iceland (2013/2014), Ukraine (2014/2015) and in the season 2016/2017 the club agreed to host one of the EHF games in England against a team from Switzerland.
This was the biggest Handball event that has been hosted in England since the Olympics and the Women’s Olympia team was the first Handball Club to host an event of such high standing.
In the past, our Men’s team participated in the European Handball Federation Challenge Cup, the tournament two steps below the Champions League, one of the hardest competitions for clubs in the world. The team went to Challenge Cup in Ukraine (2019/2020), Italy (2018/2019), Croatia (2010/2011) and Montenegro (2009/2010).

Our club can boast one of the most dynamically developing junior teams. Our u19 teams of girls and boys train at Chadwell Health academy as part of close and very fruitful cooperation with the Chadwell Heath Academy teaching staff, emphasizing that for all of us, it is very important to help the local community.
We are very proud of the teenagers who are eager to attend our training sessions and tournaments all over the UK.
The best juniors, as part of the award for hard and diligent work, get a chance to play a match in higher adult leagues.
It is a reward for them as well as a chance to gain new and invaluable experiences.
We put a lot of emphasis on training young people because they are the future of handball in the UK.

In the 2021/22 season, we held two Mini Handball Open Days for kids 4-8 years old for the first time in east London.
The open days were a great success. We hosted as many as 70 children who had a great time during our training sessions, therefore we decided to organize training on Saturday mornings for these little ones. The response was amazing. Children and parents eagerly attended the Saturday training sessions. We are planning to run the Mini Handball academy again in season 2023/24.

We want to encourage kids to get involved in the sport, by playing fun games and creating activities that will develop their handball skills. In partnership with England Handball Association, we want to develop a new generation of handball players in the UK.

We have almost 5K followers on Facebook and 1,5K on Instagram, and we become more visible on Tik Tok.
Our games are being live-streamed.
