ECKA Kingsthorpe is a not-for-profit organisation run purely by volunteers. Our fees are the lowest in the area and we aim to keep them that way! As a club we want to make sure that Martial arts is available to all especially in a time when community and self-care are so important.
The club teaches techniques, throws, forms and katas, with regular gradings. We also offer sparring classes and regularly compete on the competition circuit. Ladies keep fit classes on a Monday evening are great fun too! More than that our classes provide inclusion, self-confidence, and mental and physical fitness.
With fully qualified and insured instructors and junior mentors we assure quality and professional training.
The issue that we have is that being a not-for-profit organisation and trying to keep costs low for students is difficult in the current climate. Bringing us to the point of reaching out to you. To make our club work we sometimes must rely on the generosity of other, like yourself. We keep costs low but still must pay rent, electricity, insurances etc.
We have 3 students who have been selected to represent WKU England in the World Championships in Greece in October. Jasmine Rainbird and Evie Brittain have both been selected for their second year representing WKU England after their success at the WKU World Championships in Canada 2023.
They are so pleased to be joined by their friend and team mate Kacie Thompson. They will be supported by their dedicated coach Michael Adams. This is not a funded sport and competing can be expensive. We are looking for businesses that are willing to sponsor our team at ECKA Kickboxing to help fund these 3 talented ladies on their journey. In return we can advertise your company by putting your logos on our suits and we would welcome you to our club to see what we do and get some photos for our Facebook and Instagram.
