Currently there are opportunities for those who which to play wheelchair rugby, and physical or learning disability rugby league. Here at Doncaster RLFC we are hoping to move forward and enable provision to make this possible within the community.

Target Audience

Learning Disability Rugby League is a mixed gender sport open to any age. It is open to all those with learning disabilities who wish to be involved in rugby league, to engage in fun activities, improve their health through exercise and create a social inclusive environment.

Key Dates and Timings

This year we hope to be able to deliver PE in schools, with an aim to grow the sport and enable us to run LDRL training from the club with the aim to have a representative team at the club. With sponsorship it would enable us to send staff into these schools to teach, purchase equipment to help us benefit the young people and hopefully purchase a kit for a team at the club with a sponsor.

Specific Opportunity Details

We are looking at starting sessions for 2025 and have already reached out to SEND schools in the area to take rugby orientated PE lessons for them.

Features and Benefits

As part of the sponsorship the sponsor would be named on all social media sites whenever the training or team is featured. It would be mentioned on initial sponsorship of the programme and as shirt sponsor on a team kit. Match tickets can also be sourced for the sponsor. Other opportunities may be available.

Investment

Looking for £1500 to cover equipment, kit, logistics and staff been deployed in SEND schools.
