Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy are seeking sponsorship to support funding after earning the opportunity to compete in the USA next year.

After a hugely successful season, Aylesbury Cheerleading Academy (ACA) have two teams heading to the prestigious, best-of-the-best competition The Summit in Orlando in May 2024. This isn’t a competition you can just enter, you have to be awarded a chance to compete at a handful of selected competitions in the UK. This is the third time ACA have won a chance to compete at this international event but the first time we have two teams heading there. A total of 36 athletes aged 11-16 will travel with their coaches to the USA. They will put approximately 200 hours of practice each into their routines between now and when they travel (and more after, until their final UK competition in July). Many athletes are on multiple teams and spend 8+ hours a week in the gym. In order to ensure all those who have earned their place in this team can travel and compete, we are reaching out to local businesses and the community to support these kids through sponsorship and donations. Of course, the athletes and their families will be running their own fundraising events, but at approximately £2500 per athlete for the trip that’s a lot of cakes to sell! We would really appreciate any donations or sponsorship you can offer.

Let’s get some facts straight about cheerleading
– All Star Cheerleading is a highly competitive sport that requires a huge amount of dedication from the athletes involved and is a mixture of tumbling, stunting and high energy dance
– Athletes are required to commit 100%, it’s a team sport that doesn’t work if people aren’t at training
– It’s one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and has recently been granted full Olympic Status and may make its debut at the games in Los Angeles!
It’s not…
– Standing on the sidelines chanting and waving pom poms!

Now, a little about ACA
– Founded in 2014 and operating out of a school hall, ACA is now in it’s 10th season fielding 19 teams and over 400 athletes from two gyms based on Rabans Lane
– In the 22/23 competition season we racked up 50 1st places, 19 2nd places and 7 3rd places as well as 8 grand champions, 2 creative choreography awards, 1 standout technique award and of course 2 Summit bids
– Beyond the medal tables and awards, ACA keeps over 400 girls (and a growing number of boys) engaged in youth sport, providing them opportunities to develop lifelong skills such as teamwork, leadership and commitment.
